Black and white is a very special way of seeing things. There are tons of different varieties of shades and tones that change the character of a picture. Many people think you just need to take off the color and then you come out with bnw but that's just not right. It makes a difference if there is a cold blueish undertone or a brownish warm vibe in the pic, if it's full of light or very reduced and dark. And then of course a color splash can add something totally different, make it more frisky or the focus is drawn to it sticking out of the setting. Sometimes it needs many adjustments, changes or detours to finally find what works best for the pic. If you get there it's a whole different world to color pictures with its own life.
What do you prefer? Color or bnw?
